Teaser images from Dodge confirm that its full-size SUV will again be called Durango, Car and Driver reported. Chrysler Group LLC's Dodge Brand released teaser images this week of its all-new 2011 Dodge Durango. The sneak peeks highlight design charac-teristics of the next-generation Durango. Confirming that its SUV will continue to be called the Du-rango, Dodge stamped out Internet rumors that the new three-row vehicle would wear a Magnum nameplate, AutoWeek reported. Chrysler Group is hinting at the looks of the new Dodge Durango, which won't appear anything like the old Dodge Du-rango, USA TODAY reported. The little bit that can be seen in the images shows a much more car-like vehicle compared to the old Durango that was a full-fledged, no-apologies SUV, USA TODAY said.
After two generations as a body-on-frame SUV, the new Durango is expected to migrate to unibody construction based on the new Jeep® Grand Cherokee, a Consumer Reports blog said. The story indicated this would be a ?good thing? based on Consumer Reports' initial impressions with the Grand Cherokee.
